Meadow 2018

The wildflower meadow is still going strong, providing an important habitat for our ever diminishing insect population at a time when Britain’s wildflower habitats are rapidly vanishing.

Our meadow supports many beautiful butterflies and moths, not to mention bees and other insects, all of which pollinate our crops and provide food for other wildlife.

The “Chequers Oak” is growing happily, and we have received donations of several other oak saplings which we will plant near it to form a shady centrepiece to our lovely meadow.
